Steig Larsson’s crime-thriller, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, has gone from being a best selling novel series to a soon-to-be-released Hollywood blockbuster, and now you can add inspiration to a new H&M fashion line to that resumé. Costume designer and stylist Trish Summerville was tapped to transform the gothic, street style of the book’s heroine, Lisbeth Salander, into affordable, ready-to-wear looks that the Swedish chain has branded as their signature style.
Hardcore film and fashion fans will get a chance to purchase pieces from the entire collection at the “H&M Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Pop-Up Shop” in New York City. The pop shop will open on December 14th for a three day run to coincide with the premiere of the new David Fincher (Fight Club, The Social Network) directed film starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. The coffee shop/cyber cafe located in the Meatpacking District at 72 Gansevoort will also treat fans to never-before-seen movie trailers, complimentary coffee bar, and “computer hacking activations”.
