Members of The Roots handed black-ish an assist on the show’s season 4 premiere. The Hip Hop band interpolated the “I’m Just a Bill” segment from Schoolhouse Rock! in order to present a lesson on the history of slavery.

Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, and the rest of the Roots crew explained Juneteenth and the transatlantic slave trade in the musical sketch. The full black-ish episode is available for viewing at abc.com.
