Luke James is been seen a lot on the small screen lately. He appeared on HBO’s Insecure, Fox’s Star, and BET’s The New Edition Story.
But the New Orleans-bred entertainer is still focused on creating music. James partnered with A$AP Ferg for a remix to the track “Drip.”
“The song I wanted to create is something that really moves my soul,” says Luke about the record. “I want everything I do to be authentic and true to the time and space that I’m in.”
The public can still expect to catch the Grammy-nominated vocalist in more acting roles. For example, he was cast as Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs in the USA network’s forthcoming Unsolved: The Murders of Biggie and Tupac.
“Acting and singing are so different,” explains James. “In acting, there’s no melody to rely on. You have to rely on the action and reaction. It fulfills me in a whole other way.”
