Chicago producer Monte Booker asked the public to submit audio samples from their everyday lives in order to create the new record titled “Don’t Panic.” People sent the Zero Fatigue Crew co-founder various sounds such as a butcher chopping meat in Humboldt Park and a resident’s commute from the Jefferson Park Transit Center.

Booker then recruited Kiya Lacey to provide vocals for the track. The Nashville-bred singer-songwriter says, “He’s creating an experience. I felt like the track was doing a lot of the movement for me, so I kind of took on more of the toppings approach, like if you were making an ice cream sundae.”

In addition, Monte Booker performed for the “Red Bull Sound Select Presents: 30 Days In Chicago” concert series. Lacey also took part in the month-long event which included headlining sets from Young Thug, Syd, 6LACK, Jorja Smith, Daniel Ceasar, Noname, and others.
