Chris James

Chicago’s Chris James recruited G.O.O.D. Music’s Pusha T for his single “Love Hates Me” released in November 2013. James and King Push have now dropped the Gravitii Films directed video for the collaboration. The 4 and a half-minute clip is the culmination of a two-year grind up the music ranks for the South Side singer.

James’ rise in the music industry began in 2012. It was around that time the pianist/vocalist teamed with Rich America and John Monopoly, the manager and talent scout who have worked with Kanye West, No I.D., Shawna, and Carl Thomas.

“I’ve learned from [Monopoly] how to make sure everything is complete and to fill up my tracks,” states James. “He and his team, they’ve shown me how to add the missing pieces and make sure that my music captivates people the whole way through.”

“Love Hate Me” will be included on James’ upcoming debut album. The singer-songwriter’s L.I.F.E., (Love Isn’t For Everyone) LP is scheduled for release later this year.
