Steven “Flying Lotus” Ellison directed and scored Skinflick, an ode to his friend “Bumble Bob the Buble Boy.” The 3.5-minute clip is the third installment of the Define Beauty 2017 season.

Define Beauty is an exploration from Nowness on the perception of physical attraction. The goal of Steve’s short film is to reveal the beauty of Bob’s skin condition and tumor disorder known as Neurofibromatosis type 1.

“I first met Bob Heslip when working on my feature film KUSO – I had him do a very small role for me and in the process of shooting I saw so much potential in him as an actor and a unique human being. He is a lovely man and I wanted to make a film that would honor the beauty of his unique condition,” explained FlyLo.
