Hip Hop Blues artist Jared Evan has once again teamed with producer Statik Selektah (Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson) for part two of the duo’s 2013 project Boom Bap & Blues. The Nassau County, New York native recently revealed the album sequel will be titled Still Blue.
Evan returns with another round of soulful tunes mixed with elements of Hip Hop. While the original LP saw Statik providing the beats, this project was a full collaborative effort behind the boards.
“Still Blue is a bit different, in the sense that not only has Statik handled the production per usual, but I shared production on this project too,” says Jared. “Stay tuned for artwork and a tracklist that will also impress.”
Jared met his eventual musical partner at an event in 2010. He and Statik later reconnected and created the song “The Devil Wears Prada” which would become a track on Boom Bap & Blues. Evan also appeared on the track “God Knows” with Bun B and Posdnuos of De la Soul off Statik Selektah’s latest album What Goes Around.
Jared Evan and Statik Selektah’s Still Blue is scheduled for release on October 28th. Boom Bap & Blues is available now on iTunes.
